Our colleague Caroline König gave a talk on her research on software protection at the CD-Lab Astra (PI Sebastian Schrittwieser) at the CDG Science Slam.
Within just a few minutes, she gave attendees an entertaining and accessible look at the challenges of shielding software from analysis and tampering, a topic that has become increasingly critical in today’s security landscape.Software protection aims to make programs resilient against reverse engineering and unauthorized modification. Caroline walked attendees through the core ideas behind Man-at-the-End (MATE) attacks and the techniques researchers at AsTra are developing to counter them. The event provided a great opportunity to engage directly with the public and communicate the relevance of our work to a broad audience.
