Information Security and Privacy have always been areas where a multidisciplinary approach is indispensable.
With the increase of interconnectivity and ubiquitous data access, new services and new threats have emerged.
In both areas, technical and formal research is best combined with usability research to create solutions that incorporate fundamental research results and have a significant and lasting impact.
Three domains are particularly important and challenging areas of research that our group currently works in:
David Schmidt received the Distinguished Practical Paper Award at RAID 2026 in Lancaster for his paper on vulnerabilities in iOS dependency management…
Sebastian Raubitzek is a guest-editor of ERCIM News No. 146 on quantum technology and co-authored a paper on national QKD networks.
